Acute Endotoxemia

Background: Endotoxemia is caused by the presence of endotoxins from bacterial wall in circulation. It leads to systemic inflammation, or even septic shock if the immune response is severely pronounced.

Model: LPS induced acute endotoxemia.

Standard study duration: 2 weeks.

Clinical endpoint: Cytokine induction, coagulation, biochemistry, CBC.
